Comment on “Reducing seat dip attenuation” [J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 108, 2211–2218 (2000)]

A recent article has proposed a novel approach to reducing the “seat dip attenuation” commonly observed in major auditoria. The proposed solution might have significant impact on other attributes of auditorium acoustics. An approach to evaluate such effects is proposed.
