Vitamin D is essential for various biological processes and in spectrum of pathological processes. Since vitamin D and 1a-hydroxylase receptors are detected in reproductive tissues, including the ovaries, uterus, placenta, testicles and pituitary gland, it leads to the association of vitamin D and reproductive system functioning. It has been revealed vitamin D level and vitamin D binding protein in the peripheral blood of the girls with menstrual dysfunction and also genotyping of some genes involved in physiological metabolism of vitamin D. In the girls with menstrual dysfunction it has been detected vitamin D deficiency and according to genetic markers they will be predisposed to vitamin D low level. Studies the influence of vitamin D deficiency on health are essential for reducing diseases and correspondingly for public health strategy of serious diseases prevention
