Ultra-wideband quasi-self-complementary antenna and its WLAN applications

2017
This paper presents a printed quasi-self-complementary antenna fed by a 50-Ω microstrip line. A quarter-circular disc and a complementary quarter-circular slot in the mirror side on the ground plane are proved in ultra-wideband applications [1]. By inserting an inverted L-shaped slit embedded on the quarter-circular disc, a destructive interference can take place and cause the antenna to be nonresponsive at certain frequency. This band-rejection will make it easily meet with the dual WLAN applications.
