The method includes the steps that video information of a video is received through a network and the video is played, the video information is sent to the host machine for storage, and when the browser receives video play regulation instructions from a user, the browser plays corresponding video content in the obtained video from the host machine according to the video play regulation instructions. According to the method, the user does not need to pay extra mobile terminal flow when the user watches a video which is played already or is read ahead, a cache of the browser is saved, operation speed of the browser can not be affected, and user experience is improved.
