A multi-stage location problem in route construction project management

In this paper, the location problem with route demand is motivated by route construction projects such as railway and cable constructions. The construction activities are along a route and the demand continuous function along the route will be put into the p-median location model. Stones are indispensable materials in railway construction, so that we considered a multi-stage location problem when we determine where to build both the quarry and batching facilities to achieve the process of stone mining and concrete mixing.
