Chlorides in Atmospheric Aerosols

During the period 1980–83, determinations of chlorides in TSP of the air in three different locations in Spain (Madrid, Bilbao and Puertollano) were carried out. The average level of atmospheric chlorides found in two of the sampling spots were similar. The third spot (Puertollano) gave half the average value (1.42 ug.n−3) of the other locations. The statistical distributions of the chlorides concentrations, their correlation with TSP, as well as the bivariant distribution of these parameters have been studied.
