Contrast ultrasound uterosalpingography verse X-ray hysterosalpingography in the evaluation of fallopian tube patency

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of contrast ultrasound uterosalpingography(CUUSG) and X-ray hysterosalpingography(HSG) in infertile patients.Methods A total of 40 infertile women were divided into two groups randomly(20 patients in each group).CUUSG or HSG were performed in the two groups,respectively.The laparoscopy and hysteroscopy were performed as a golden standard to compare the diagnostic value of the two evaluation methods.Results There were no significant differences in sensitivity and specificity between CUUSG and HSG technology(P0.05).Conclusion Due to the clear images of fallopian tube,amd high diagnostic accuracy and security,CUUSG is an effective diagnostic method for evaluating the fallopian tube patency in infertile women.
