Wind-system power optimization using microprocessor control

1985
The efficiency of wind systems for producing electrical power and their safe operation can be enhanced by electronic control systems that optimize their performance. The advent of inexpensive and versatile microprocessors offers a low-cost approach that can not only provide a variety of control functions but also allows easy adaptation to different types of wind systems and modification of control parameters by simple software- rather than hardware-changes.
