Powerfactorcorrection (PFC)converter circuits arenon-linear systemduetothecontribution of their multiplier. Thisnon-linearity reflects thedifficulty of analysis anddesign. Modelsthatreducethesystem toa linear systeminvolve considerable approximation, and produce results thataresusceptible toinstability problems. Our goalistodesign a controller thatachieves some performance specifications despite theseuncertainties in modeling. Thispaperaddresses a robustHW1control problem forswitched circuits withparameter uncertainties. Thenecessary andsufficient conditions forexistence of strong robust HW.dynamic compensators andstatic output feedback controllers areestablished intermsoflinear matrixinequality (LMI)approach.
