PROGRAMAS DE DETECCIÓN DE PLAGIO ACADÉMICO: CONOCIMIENTO Y USO POR PARTE DEL PROFESORADO DE ESO Y CONSEJOS PARA SU UTILIZACIÓN

This article describes a study conducted among teachers of Secondary Education about their level of knowledge and use of software aimed at plagiarism detection. At the same time, we present the data on an analysis of effectiveness and reliability of different plagiarism detection programs. The results obtained by the research conducted show great ignorance and a residual use of anti-plagiarism software by secondary education teachers. This is a field in which it is urgent to develop measures based on the combination of preventive/detecting, training and regulatory strategies at an institutional level in schools.
