The present invention relates to a technical field pavement material, particularly to a high resistance to water damage and asphalt pavement modifier prepared and applied, the modifier by the following weight percentage composition of raw materials: polyethylene 60 85%, 10-35% magnesium, 3-12% lubricant, 0.1 to 0.8% antioxidant, 0-10% of maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene, 0.3 to 1.5% carbon black. The present invention has good dispersion properties, can improve adhesion properties of aggregates and asphalt, to improve compatibility with asphalt pavement resistance to water damage ability, low material cost; preparation and application methods asphalt modifier simple low production costs, in favor of universal application.
