Reexamination of the Michelson reaction leading to poly(glycerol phosphate). Its functionalization
1992
Fractionation of the products obtained by the Michelson polyaddition of glycerol 2-phosphate with diphenyl phosphate chloride gives a definite poly(glycerol phosphate) (PGP) of a molecular weight of about 1000. The exact structure was determined by 31 P NMR spectra from which the existence of a random copolymer containing 1,3- and 1,2-PGP sequences can be inferred. The free hydroxyl groups of PGP were grafted with a 1-thymineacetic acid derivative to an extent of about 40% as determined by 1 H NMR
