Research on Flammability Test of Insulating Material and Flash Point of Insulating Oil for Converter Transformer

According to fire risk and fire characteristics of converter transformer, this paper analyzes the factors influencing fire safety, such as flammability of insulation material, flash point of insulating oil, bushings, tap-changer and mechanical strength of the tank. And this paper studies the test method of flammability of insulating material for converter transformer. Insulating materials, such as press-board, crepe paper, laminated press-board, paper insulation-shaping component, epoxy resin, silicone rubber, glass reinforced plastic, are collected, and fire test are carried out in order to analyze the flammability of the insulating materials. And flash point of insulating oil is also analyzed. According to the research, several measures are proposed to improve the fire prevention capability of converter transformer in this paper.
