Autostimulation of prolactin receptors in adrenal cortex of guinea pigs

Prolactin injected to male guinea pigs for 7 days considerably enhanced binding of125I-prolactin by adrenal cortex microsomes. Scatchard analysis showed that this rise is due to an increase in the receptor binding capacity but not in their affinity.
