Comparison of In-Hospital Conditions for “International Study” and “Non-Study” Patients

This article reports observations about the comparability of “International Study” and “Non-Study” patients at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of the University Hospital, Hamburg, FRG. “International Study” patients are those cardiac surgery patients who were investigated according to the International Study protocol while “Non-Study” patients are all those cardiac surgery patients who are not included in the International Study but were operated on during the same period of time.
