Vanadium‐Catalyzed Synthesis of 4(3H)‐Quinazolinones from Anthranilamides and Aryl Aldehydes.

The advantages of the new procedure are low catalyst loading, use of green oxidant in form of air, high atom economy and good to excellent yields.
