Influencing factors and growth mechanism in hydrothermal preparation of ZrO_2 nanotubes

2005
The zirconia nanotube is prepared with 10mol/L of minerals concentration at 250℃ for 48 hours by the hydrothermal method, and several factors influencing the growth of zirconia crystal under above conditions were studied. It is thought that the network of the gel can be strengthened by higher concentration of OH- , and the network serves as the similar function of templates, which makes the zirconia grow into nanotubes form, and the nanotube break away from the network and exist independently in the solution.
