Capacidades del Sistema CITMA en Pinar del Río para la Gestión del Conocimiento y la Innovación.

In a competitive and changing context, such as currently exists, information, knowledge and innovation are essential factors for the society, the economy of the countries, the development of a territory, the performance of an organization and for the lives of people. For these reasons, our country has implemented since 1995 a System of Science and Technological Innovation whose mission is the link between the scientific community / business community and the government. In order to know the capabilities and limitations of the structures of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Pinar del Rio to manage knowledge, a study was done, using the historical - logical scientific method and the techniques of questionnaire and documentary analysis that showed that this type of organization, despite executing functions inherent to knowledge management, does not manage to effectively transfer the information, knowledge and innovations available in the community academic to the business community to have limitations associated with the capabilities in terms of: to have limited material resources, be weakly positioned and lack a staff with all the required skills.
