Bill overlapping detection method and device

An embodiment of the invention discloses a bill overlapping detection method in order to solve the problem in the existing overlapping detection method that misjudgment may be easily caused under the condition that there is something attached to a banknote, a banknote arches slightly, an old banknote thickens, or the like. The method disclosed by the embodiment of the invention comprises the following steps: collecting a front image and a back image of a banknote to be identified and transmission images; respectively acquiring front banknote information and back banknote information of the banknote to be identified according to the front image and the back image, and initializing corresponding local feature attribute windows, wherein each local feature attribute window is a template including a preset identification area of a corresponding feature attribute of an image needing identification; measuring the degree of coupling between the transmission images of the front image and the back image according to the local feature attribute windows to obtain a measurement result; and judging whether the measurement result meets a preset overlapping condition, determining that the banknote to be identified is overlapped if the measurement result meets the preset overlapping condition, and determining that the banknote to be identified is not overlapped if the measurement result does not meet the preset overlapping condition. Another embodiment of the invention provides a bill overlapping detection device.
