Advances on the drug resistance mechanisms of opportunistic pathogenic fungi

2017
With the increasing incidence of immunodeficiency disease and the development of medical technology such as organ transplantation, the morbidity and mortality of opportunistic fungal infection are increasing. Meanwhile, the problem of drug resistanceof opportunistic fungi is becoming a threat owing to the abuse or irregular use of antifungal agents in the clinical practice. Recently, the resistance mechanism of opportunistic pathogenic fungi has attracted much attention, such as the increased efflux of drug, alteration in the antifungal drug target site, biofilm formation and so on. In this review, we will summarize the advances in this field. Key words: Opportunistic infections; Antifungal drug; Drug resistance
