QUARK-DIAGRAM ESTIMATES OF CP VIOLATION IN 2-BODY BARYONIC B(D)(0)-(B)BAR(D)(O) DECAYS
1992
CP violation in partial-decay-rate asymmetries are examined for some two-body baryonic decays of B(d)0 -B(d)0BAR system. We discuss two feasible experimental circumstances: the symmetric e+e- collisions (i) on the Z0 resonance to produce incoherent B(d)0B(d)0BAR states, and (ii) just above the gamma(4S) resonance to produce C = even B(d)0B(d)0BAR states. Using the quark-diagram scheme, we estimate the branching ratios of those decays, and the numbers of bbBAR pairs needed for testing the CP-violating effects for 3-sigma signature. We find that the promising channels may be B(d)0, B(d)0BAR --> ppBAR, DELTA+DELTA-BAR, p-DELTA-BAR, DELTA+pBAR, nnBAR, DELTA-0-DELTA-0BAR, n-DELTA-0BAR, DELTA-0nBAR, SIGMA(c)+SIGMA(c)-BAR, LAMBDA(c)+LAMBDA(c)-BAR, SIGMA(c)+LAMBDA(c)-BAR, LAMBDA(c)+SIGMA(c)-BAR, SIGMA(c)0-SIGMA(c)0BAR, XI(c)0-XI(c)0BAR, which should be interesting for experimental observation.
