Method for preparing ultraviolet-screening, transparent, heat-insulation paint

2009
The invention discloses a method for preparing an ultraviolet-screening, transparent, heat-insulation paint, which comprises the following four steps: nano tin dioxide sol preparation; nano tin dioxide surface modification, soap-free polyacrylate emulsion preparation, and nano tin dioxide sol and soap-free polyacrylate emulsion combination. The surface modification of the nano tin dioxide allows the surfaces of the nano tin dioxide to be loaded with positive charges so as to reduce the coagulation of the nano tin dioxide. Meanwhile, the electrostatic attraction between the nano tin dioxide loaded with positive charges and latex particles loaded with negative charges improves the compatibility of the nano tin dioxide with film-forming resin. The paint is a water paint containing no organic solvent and meets the requirements for environmental protection. Tests show that paint films made of the paint have excellent ultraviolet-absorption, visible light-transmission and heat-insulation performance.
