GANHO DE PESO DE RÃ – TOURO (Rana catesbeiana, SHAW, 1802), CRIADA EM GAIOLAS, COM RAÇÕES DE DIFERENTES NÍVEIS PROTÉICOS, CONSORCIADA COM LARVAS DE DIPTERA (Musca domestica)

2018
In the experimental out door facility planned for frog culture in the Fisheries and Frogculture Station of Pindamonhangaba, Sao Paulo State, Brazil (22° 55' 55"S and 45° 27' 22"W), the gains in the weight of bullfrog (Rana catesbeiana Shaw, 1802) reared in cages and fed with rations containing 30; 35 and 40% crude protein levels consorted with 20% of fly larvae (Musca domestica) were studied. The experimental period was from 09/03/1990 to 12/12/1990. The experimental design was of an experiment with four treatments and five repetitions. Twenty cages of fiber-glass, all with the same dimensions and characteristics were used. The treatment with 35% of protein consorted with 20% of fly larvae was that which gave a higher gain in weight to the bullfrogs.
