AVALIAÇÃO DA ISOMETRIA DO MÚSCULO TRANSVERSO ABDOMINAL EM UNIVERSITÁRIAS DO CURSO DE FISIOTERAPIA

2017
Introduction: An alternative approach can be a unit of pressure by biofeedback (PBU) whose measurement is indirectly evaluating an activity of the transverse abdomen through changes of pressure of the abdominal wall. Objective: Recognize as university students of the physiotherapy course that is known by activity physique and deficiency of the transverse abdomen activation. Materials and methods:  Cross-sectional study, with convenience, non-probabilistic sample consisted of 49 university students (22.0±3.7 years, 1.62±0.5 m; 58.6±10.1kg; BMI=22.0±3.5) enrolled in the course physiotherapy UNISC. Was applied international physical activity questionnaire (IPAQ), answered the questionnaire, the university was questioned about the presence of low back pain, quantifying the same by the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and then testing was performed with biofeedback (PBU) in prone. Results: Observed that of the 49 study participants, 35 (72.43%) of these showed activation transversus abdominis (TrA) and 14 (27.57%) were outside the muscle activation patterns. Moreover, it was shown that obese university longer able to maintain the contraction TRA (p=0.05) and university with more age are most active (p=0.04). We concluded these that finding suggest that universities that have low levels of physical activity have good activation TrA and obese had a lower variation of pressure that the non-obese.
