Three-Year Effects of the Youth Transition Demonstration Projects

This article summarizes findings from randomized controlled trials of six Youth Transition Demonstration projects that were funded by the Social Security Administration. The projects provided specialized employment-focused services and enhanced disability program work incentives for youths with disabilities aged 14–25. Three of the projects had positive and statistically significant effects on employment rates in the third year after youths enrolled in project evaluations.
