Predicting Mental Health and Social Compatibility Based on Emotional Intelligence Indicators

Emotional intelligence has significant role in compatible behaviors, mental health, and stress adjustment. The aim of current study is to predict mental health and social compatibility based on emotional intelligence indicators.150 female students of Payam e Noor University Abdanan Branch were selected. In order to evaluate the variables of the study, General Health Questionnaire (GTQ), Bells social compatibility scale, and Bar-On emotional intelligence test were used. The analysis of the results showed that the participants’ emotional intelligence can predict the mental health, it means that the higher emotional intelligence the higher mental health and social compatibility behavior. Based on the obtained results the need to teach emotional intelligence indicators to increase the compatibility behaviors and stress adjustment is felt.
