CSA Céu do Cerrado

Research in the area of food production has shown great economic inequality between the food producer and the marketers of these products. A factor that aggravates this situation is the risk of loss of production, since the farmer usually take the risks of his production and the risk of starving, even producing food for the supply networks, given the low purchase prices of his products. One possibility to solve this problem is the CSA (Community that Supports Agriculture). In this system the farmer is paid monthly by a group of quotaholders who bank their production, taking the risks together with him, freeing him from the risks of falling prices, lack of buyer, prices abusively lower than what he needs to pay for his life and from your family. In this experience report, we present how was the training and the first results of the CSA Ceu do Cerrado.
