The Expression and Clinic Pathological Signification of CD44v6,Survivin and PTEN in Gastric Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma
2009
Objective To study the expression ofCD44v6,the novel inhibitor gene of apoptosis Survivin and novel inhibitor cancer gene PTEN in gastric signet ring cell carcinoma(SRCC)and the relationship between the genes and the clinic pathological feathers of SRCC.Methods CD44v6,Survivin and PTEN protein expression in 73 cases of gastric signet ring cell carcinoma were examined by using SP immunohistochemical staining. The positive rate of CD44v6 was 78.1%(57/73),Survivin was 63.0%(46/73) and the PTEN was34.2%(25/73).The protein expression of CD44v6 was positively related with the depth of invasion and lymph node metastasis(P0.05),Survivin was largely positively related with the depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, the distant metastasis and TNM stage(P0.01),and the PTEN was negtively related with them(P0.05).The expression of PTEN was negatively correlated to that of CD44v6(r=-0.214,P0.05),the PTEN was negatively correlated to that of Survivin(r=-0.404 P0.01),but the CD44v6 was positively correlated to that of Survivin.(r=0.280,P0.01)Conclusions The abnormal expression of CD44v6,Survivin and PTEN may correlate to the clinic pathological feathers of SRCC.The PTEN and Survivin gene may acts as markers predicting biological behaviors of SRCC.The co expression of CD44v6,PTEN and Survivin gene have the synergism in SRCC.
