Discovery of the Existence of Memory in Bidens Seedlings

Starting from the concepts of “correlations between organs” and “bud dominance”, we are going to introduce the notion of the “specification of the dominance between cotyledonary buds”. We shall see that information relative to this specification of dominance is stored within the plant. Stored information remains latent until an appropriate signal enables the plant to recall stored information and let it take effect in the control of the dominance between the cotyledonary buds. The main properties of the storage and recall functions will be studied.
