Reactions and condensation of metal atoms in shock waves

1999
The review deals with the results of the studies of several kinetic processes with the participation of metal atoms (formation, relaxation, ionization, condensation, and reactions with oxidants). The characteristics of these processes were obtained using volatile metals compounds and a shock-wave technique, as well as spectral, optical, and electrophysical measurements. The data were interpreted using physicochemical models based on the detailed kinetic description in a multicomponent reacting mixture using statistical theory of monomolecular reactions.
