Effects of Soil Type on Chemical Composition of Different Flue-cured Tobacco Varieties

2012
Using the C3F-grade leaves of five flue-cured tobacco varieties(Yunyan 87,K326,Nanjiang No.3,Yunyan 203 and KRK26) as test materials, the author investigated the influence of different soil types on the chemical composition of different flue-cured tobacco varieties through plot experiment. The results showed that the type of soil had different impact on the chemical composition of these five varieties. The soil type had less influence on the total sugar and reducing sugar content of Yunyan 203 and KRK26,but had significant impact on those of Yunyan 87,K326 and Nanjiang No.3,especially Nanjiang No.3.Yunyan 87,K326,Nanjiang No.3 and KRK26,which were planted in Shidi region, had better absorption of total nitrogen and accumulation of nicotine.Generally, the baked leaves of all flue-cured tobacco varieties, which were grown in three different types of soil, had a low chlorine content, high potassium chlorine ratio and potassium content more than 1.5%.The potassium supply ability of the soil in Gaoping region was higher than that in Shidi and Huaqiao regions.
