Effect of Heavy Metals on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Soybean and Accumulation of Heavy Metals in Soybean Seedlings

2010
The soybean seeds under single and complex Cu2+,Zn2+ and Pb2+ stress were tested in soil cultivation to study the effects of heavy metals on seed germination, seedling growth and accumulation of heavy metals in soybean seedlings. The results showed that 1) the seed germination rate and vigor of soybean seeds treated with ≤25.0mg/L Cu2+ or ≤25.0mg/L Zn2+ or ≤25.0mg/L Pb2+ were higher than CK,the lower exogenous heavy metal concentration was beneficial to seed germination and seedling growth but high exogenous heavy metal concentration had inhibition effects on seed germination and seedling growth, and the complex Cu2+,Zn2+ and Pb2+ stress had synergistic effect on seed germination and seedling growth,2) the heavy metal accumulation in soybean seedlings increased with the increase of heavy metal stress in the single heavy metal test, the accumulation of heavy metals in soybean seedlings was rootstemcotyledon in the single and complex heavy metal tests, the coexist ions accumulation in seedling roots, stem and cotyledon was different with different coexist ion combination.
