On the lossless image recovery analysis of cyclic shift and chaotic system based image encryption

2017
Image encryption is being adopted as a secure strategy to protect the confidential images across the information sharing arena. Scrambling process plays an important role in achieving better confusion during the image encryption. An image encryption scheme based on cyclic shift and chaotic system has been proposed by Wang X-Y et al, 2015 [1]. In that approach, the scrambling process based on logistic map sequence was not efficient to randomize the pixels during image encryption. The randomization resulted in repetitive pixel addresses before reaching the maximal length sequence i.e. total number of image pixels. The lossless reproduction of the secret image during the decryption can only be improved by choosing proper scrambling source during the encryption. This paper addresses some of the issues of that work and proposes an alternate way to perform scrambling with enhanced multiuser improved authentication mechanism.
