Efeito citotóxico do infuso aquoso de Psidium guajava L. (Myrtaceae) Cytotoxic effect of Psidium guajava L. (Myrtaceae)

SUMMARY - The cytotoxicity of the aqueous Psidium guajava leaf-infusion was evaluated in monolayes of albino mice macrophages by means of T rypan blue exclusion assay. A queous infusions were pr epared and tested immediately after preparation, as well as after 48 hours at 4°C storage. A high toxicity (31.82%) was demonstrated after 60 minutes exposure only in cells treated with the previously kept infusion.
