Study on Developmental Toxicity of Nano-TiO_2

To explore the effect of nano-TiO2 on the development of animals,pregnant Kunming mice are given gastric lavage daily by nano-TiO2 from 6th day to 17th day.These mice are sacrificed at the antepartum time to estimate the change of their weight and organ.The offsprings,obtained through cesarean,are surveyed to analyze their weight,length,length of tail,as well as ratio of death,abnormity and absorbtion.The result suggests that although nano-TiO2 has little effect on pregnant mice,it may be toxic to embryos.The paper firstly expounds that nano-TiO2has the developmental toxicity.
