Effect of Ho Addition on the Optical and Electrical Properties of 0.98KNN-0.02SYT Ceramics

2021
0.98(K0.5Na0.5)NbO3-0.02Sr(Yb0.5Ta0.5)O3-x%Ho (0.98KNN-0.02SYT-x%Ho, x=0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.6, 0.65, 0.7) fluorescent transparent ceramics were prepared by conventional solid-phase reaction, and the effects of different Ho doping on the microstructure, phase structure, electrical and fluorescence properties of 0.98KNN-0.02SYT-x%Ho ceramics were investigated. x-ray diffraction analysis shows that the ceramics are all highly symmetric pseudo-cubic phases. 0.98KNN-0.02SYT-x%Ho ceramics with x = 0.1 obtains the largest optical transmittance of 54.3% at 1100 nm. In addition, the introduction of Ho gives 0.98KNN-0.02SYT-x%Ho ceramics good up-conversion luminescence properties with wavelengths of 545 nm (green) and 655 nm (red) under 980-nm laser excitation, and the luminescence intensity reaches a maximum value of 1.01×105 at x=0.6. The 0.98KNN-0.02SYT-x%Ho ceramics also exhibit good storage properties with Wrec = 0.16 J/cm3 and η = 69.4% at x = 0.6.
