Luminescence of perovskite light-emitting diodes with quasi-core/shell structure enhanced by Al–TiO2–Ag Bimetallic Nanoparticle

2019
Abstract In this work, we simulated a perovskite light-emitting diode (PeLED) with quasi-core/shell structure. The plasma coupling effect of AL-TiO2-Ag Bimetallic Nanoparticle (NP) was investigated. We explored the effects of radius of the inner Al core, thickness of dielectric layer, thickness of outer Ag shell, material of dielectric layer, distance between AL-TiO2-Ag Bimetallic Nanoparticle and luminescent layer on the luminescent properties of the PeLED. They all have a profound impact on the performance of PeLED. We analyzed the electric field distribution and the normalized radiated power of AL-TiO2-Ag Bimetallic Nanoparticle by finite difference time domain (FDTD). Simulation results indicated that, compared to the PeLED without NPs, the luminescence efficiency is increased by approximately 40%. Our work shows that AL-TiO2-Ag Bimetallic Nanoparticle has great potential to improve the performance of PeLED. It is expected to be applied to optoelectronic devices in the future.
