Automated Control of a Femtosecond Laser Along the Surface of a Planar Sample

This work describes the automated positioning of the focus of a femtosecond laser across the surface of a planar sample. The shape of the pattern is created in a simple text file with coma separated values. The interfacing of the equipment is accomplished using the open source Python programming language.
