Yanzhen 1,a new apple interstock with rough bark disease resistance

Yanzhen 1 is a new apple interstock,derived from the cross seedling of Jiguan in open pollination.Trials of 14 years proved its resistance character to apple rough bark disease.Using Yanzhen 1 as interstock could decrease the incidence of apple ring spot and apple ring rot.And the soluble solid content of Fuji were increased.Yanzhen 1 has a good compatibility with the commercial apple cultivar(Fuji) and the base rootstock of Malus micromalus and Malus hupehensis.
