Sin embargo, nada en el ano 711 permitia presagiar este resultado y en estas lineas intentaremos mostrar algunos de los elementos que contribuyeron a ese hecho, y las funciones que desempenaba la capital en el emirato de los siglos VIII y IX. However, in 711 nothing allowed to foretell such a result and we will try to explain a few of the elements which contribute to the creation of the new Andalusian capital and the functions that if fulfilled in the VIIIth and IXth centuries
