Structural and electrical relations of monosulphide solid solution in the FeNiS system at high pressures and temperatures
1980
Abstract Monosulphide solid solution in the FeNiS system was synthesised at high pressure and temperature, and its electrical conductivity measured at several pressures and as a function of temperature. The results show a non-classic transition from semiconducting to metallic behaviour in the samples under pressure. The influence of pressure as a function of composition shows the tendency to a relative shift of the properties towards the Ni-rich end. Correspondingly one also can consider the influence of temperature as a shift towards Fe-rich compositions.
