Control Methods of R/Al of Alkali-activated Binder

Based on the theoretical investigation,the method to control the R/Al of alkali-activated binder was proposed.By this method the stability of product structure could be improved.The control range of R/Al of product is(Na+K)/Al ≤1.0 in the case of(Ca+Mg)/(Si-Al)0.8 or(Ca+Mg)/(Si-Na-K)≤1.5 for(Ca+Mg)/(Si-Al)≥0.8.The lower(Na+K)/Al or(Ca+Mg)/(Si-Na-K) is,the better stable the structure.Based on the experimental investigation,as the products increase to some extent,the index for R/Al of part product becomes extortionate,this can result in decreasing the 28 d strength and later strength of alkali-activated binder,even possibly inducing alkali-aggregate reaction.
