2 RESUMO: Utilizam-se misturas de herbicidas para evitar a resistencia de plantas daninhas a herbicidas e obter melhor eficiencia de controle das plantas daninhas. Conduziu-se, no Campo Experimental da Embrapa Algodao, Barbalha, CE, experimento objetivando avaliar o efeito de misturas duplas, triplas e quadruplas de herbicidas, envolvendo Diuron, pendimethalin, metolachlor e oxadiazon, aplicadas em pre-emergencia, no controle de plantas daninhas em algodoeiro herbaceo (Gossypium hirsutum L. r. latifolium Hutch), cv. BRS 187 8H, sob condicoes de sequeiro. O delineamento foi blocos casualizados com 13 tratamentos e tres repeticoes. A mistura pendimethalin + oxadiazon foi a mais seletiva ao algodoeiro. Todas as misturas proporcionaram controle semelhante ao tratamento controle mecânico ate os primeiros 30 dias. Ate os 60 dias apos emergencia, o maior indice de controle foi registrado nos tratamentos metolachlor + diuron + pendimethalin e controle mecânico. As maiores produtividades de algodao em caroco foram registradas nos tratamentos metolachlor + diuron + oxadiazon, pendimethalin + oxadiazon e controle mecânico. So, the research was carried out at the Experimental Field of Embrapa Algodao, in Barbalha, CE, Brazil, with the objective of verifying the effect of different herbicides on double, triple and quadruple mixtures, applied in preemergence, on weed control in upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L. r. latifolium Hutch) cv. BRS 187 8H grown under rainfall conditions. The delineation was a randomized complete block design with 13 treatments and 3 replications. The mixture pendimethalin + oxadiazon was the most selective to upland cotton. All mixtures provided an excellent control of the weed up to the first 30 days. Up to the sixty days after emergence period, the largest weed control index was registered in metolachlor + diuron + pendimethalin and in mechanical control. The highest cotton yields were registered in the treatments metolachlor + diuron + oxadiazon, pendimethalin + oxadiazon and in mechanical control.
