Ionic liquids as green solvents in the pharmaceutical industry

2021
Abstract Ionic liquids have been evolving as an adaptable class of green solvents with numerous estimated benefits associated with traditional medium. Ionic liquids possess ultimate chemical properties with a wide variety of applications in the fields of electrochemistry, catalysis, spectroscopy, and petroleum, chemical, analytical, and pharmaceutical industries. Nonflammability and nonvolatility are two of their extensive features providing them with valuable power in a diversity of roles. This chapter will emphasize various aspects of ionic liquids that resolve precarious pharmaceutical complications. Regarding ionic liquid methodology, the latest reproduction shows new dynamic pharmacological elements and seems suitable in the future at which time it will facilitate a striking synthetic operation based on complexes amidst precise purposes interrelated among developed procedures, affecting preparation constancy, the environmental scope, as well as subsequent adversative properties. The appearance of ionic liquids with organic movement transformed technical attention of these complexes and revealed exciting perceptions concerning their pharmaceutical applications.
