Synthesis and Characterization of ferrous glycinate monohydrate

Ferrous glycinate monohydrate is synthesized by glycine and ferrous carbonate as raw materials with less anion interference and high purity.The reaction system pH value was 5.5~6.0,the amount of antioxidant quality is 10% of glycine,Coordination ratio(Gly∶Fe) is 2∶1,the reaction temperature is 80 ℃.With these optimized conditions,the ferrous glycinate chelate is generated in yield of 87.21% and chelated ratio of 86.95%.After purification,the structure of the complex is characterized by some analysis methods,such as infrared spectrum,differential thermal analyses and calculated by the molar conductance and stabilization constant(K).Ferrous glycinate is proved as a trans-structure chelate with one crystal water.
