Tris(ω-aminoalkoxy)boranes

Abstract Tris(ω-aminoalkoxy)boranes of the type B[O(CH 2 ) n NRR′] 3 ( n =2: RR′H, RH and R′CH 3 , RR′CH 3 , RR′C 2 H 5 ; n =3: RR′H, RR′CH 3 , RR′C 2 H 5 ) have been prepared by the reaction of either B(OCH 3 ) 3 or (CH 3 ) 3 N·BH 3 with excess of ω-aminoalcohols, HO(CH 2 ) n NRR′. 11 B NMR spectral data suggest the occurrence of both intra- and intermolecular N-B coordination in these species.
