A method for high-purity ethylhexylglycerin prepared by 2-ethylhexyl glycidyl ether and acetone to form intermediate 4-alkoxy-1,3-dioxo role in boron trifluoride diethyl ether alkane, is added after the terminator timely hydrolysis, and then the oil phase was partitioned and washed with sodium hydrogen carbonate and the stabilizer is added, and finally to obtain high purity ethylhexylglycerol using short path distillation. Suitable for cosmetic additives, and suitable for large-scale industrial production, simple process, low energy consumption, product yield is greater than 88%, purity 99.3%, colorless, tasteless, and other advantages.
