High-temperature selective extraction of tungsten from tungsten concentrates in ionic melts

It was shown experimentally that tungsten ores and concentrates are decomposed in sodium chloride-sodium metasilicate melts at 1050-1100°C to form two immiscible phases: tungstate-halide and silicate ones. Tungsten makes up 96-99% of the ore components in the former phase and more than 90% in the latter phase.
