Olefination of α,α′-Divinyl Ketones Through Catalytic Meyer—Schuster Rearrangement.

Addition of acetylenes to divinyl ketones followed by treatment with VO(acac)2 allows an efficient formation of cross-conjugated trienes like (IV), (VII), (X), and (XII).
