Hierarchy of Microcracks under Cyclic and Static Loads
2020
The paper analyzes the evolution of
microcracks in austenitic and carbon steels on evidence from our
studies and literature data. The well-known Lotka–Volterra
model, applied to competing processes of various nature, and the
percolation model are used to describe the alternation of
microcrack formation, growth, and coalescence providing a
hierarchical damage structure.
